Drum Circle

  • The Reed Center for Ecosystem Reintegration 1932 Mountain Church Road Middletown, MD, 21769 United States (map)

Participation in a drum circle is a wonderful meditative practice. It gives us an opportunity to turn off our thinking minds, as we tap into a unified pulse. People who play in drum circles often share how it is an experience that creates a sense of belonging. It is a reminder that we are all connected, and that each person’s contributions are valuable.

No experience is needed to play in a drum circle. You might not realize it (yet), but you are already a rhythmical being. For thousands of years, drumming has been an integral part of rituals, ceremonies, and celebrations. Drumming is a gift that has been handed down to us by our ancestors. Come join us as we get in touch with our rhythmical roots.

* Drums and a variety of rhythm instruments will be available, or you may bring your own.

Drum circle start time will vary based on the weekend; if you register for the event, you will receive an email alerting you to the start time for that drum circle.

Drum circles are offered on a $10-$50 sliding scale suggested donation. To register, click the button below.
